between a healthy mouth and heart disease and diabetes.

risk factor associated with heart disease and diabetes,"
he says. "This is why it is no longer acceptable to
use the same standard of diagnosis and care as we have
in the past."
Dr. Holevas has been serving the Elgin community for
more than 25 years, bringing the best and latest in
dentistry to his patients. Using his advanced training
in the field of oral systemic medicine he has improved
his patients' oral and overall physical health. Dr.
Holevas speaks on this topic for many organizations.
Dr. Holevas has a special talent and vision for cosmetic
dentistry. In fact, he has taught other dentists from
around the world at the Esthetic Epitome Seminar Series.
Dr. Holevas holds a Doctoral Degree in Dentistry from
Northwestern University in 1985 and annually attends
leading advanced dental education institutions in order
to provide the very best in dentistry.
Dr. Holevas is a sustaining member of the Academy of
Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of Laser Dentistry,
American Dental Association, and Crown Council, an invitation
only membership for Excellence in Dentistry. He and
his team have advanced training in early oral cancer
detection and advanced certification in soft-tissue
dental laser for treating periodontal disease, which
is recognized by the Academy of Laser Dentistry.
